Tenants Kicked to the Curb After Building Inspection
Residents of a apartment building in Florida told the local news that they were given no time to move or collect their belongings after a building inspector cited the building’s manager for violations.
A 69-year-old man spent the night in a chair outside of his unit because he had nowhere else to go. Others scrambled to make last minute arrangements.
Inspectors reported that the building has mold, mildew, decay, ventilation problems and electrical issues.
The manager was given 30 days to perform repairs. According to the report, the manager has returned rent payments to the tenants.
